TWG Generator Isolation Bushings (B-3, C-3, A-100 organs)

Hammond organ tone generators were designed to float on a set of springs above the generator shelf. This kept motor and gear noise from resonating through the wooden console case. The generator needs to be secured when the organ is moved to prevent it from swinging around. When it swings the generator studs strike the generator shelf below, turning it into sawdust. This makes ovals out of the previously round generator mounting holes, and tears wires off the generator terminal strip.

This isolation kit permanently secures the generator without transmitting noise to the cabinet. The radial support ribs on the mount are out of phase on each side to further aid vibration isolation. Installation is performed most easily by raising the manuals, removing the generator springs and lifting the generator to slide a bushing onto each stud. The bushing end rests in the mounting hole, while a second bushing is inserted on the underside of the generator shelf and held in place with the washers provided and the existing bolt. Bolts are also available (see part number GENSCRW).

Bristol (Spline) Wrench

Bristol key (also known as a spline wrench) used for removal of the motor pulleys from single motor models and the vibrato scanner rotor.

Spline wrenches, while similar in appearance to Allen wrenches, differ in that the fastening end resembles a 4- or 6-toothed gear which mates with a similar hole in the set screw. The design applies almost all of the turning force at right angles to the fastener axis, greatly reducing the possibility of stripping the head of the fastener when tightening. They are frequently used to secure knobs on front panel controls or gears on shafts, where extreme tightening is required.

H-Series Vibrato Scanner Drive Belts

Replaces missing, stretched, cracked or broken drive belts in H series organs with the under-the-shelf vibrato unit. These belts slip over the motor pulley and the pulleys on the vibrato and celeste scanners. Please note: these belts are only applicable to the version of the H-100/200/300 series organs with the retro-fit motor and scanner units mounted below the tone generator shelf. If your scanner is driven from a shaft located on the generator motor the part number for that belt is HBELT-SQ.

Internal AC Line Cord

Replacement AC line cable used internally on Hammond C, D, G, BV, CV, RT, B-2, C-2, RT-2, B-3, C-3, RT-3 organs to connect the outlet box plug to the organ`s AC distribution panel. The original wire insulation has a tendency to dry rot and flake off leaving bare wires exposed which can contact the organ`s metal parts. This is a hazardous situation that can result in mild to severe shocks to the player. This wire is also used on pedal lamps, pedal solo units and for Leslie chorale/tremolo switch wiring. Easily installed on late A-100, B-3, C-3, D-100, and RT-3 organs. (These organs are identified by front strips that are secured with Phillips head screws).

Also usable on earlier Hammond consoles (those without Phillips head screws), but the front strip removal on these organs requires substantial keyboard disassembly. Also applicable to M-series spinet organs but the felts will require cutting to fit the key bed. Not at all applicable to diving board key Hammond models.
