Warranty Policy

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

1. Introduction

At Tonewheel General, we stand behind the products we sell and are committed to helping our customers receive the full benefit of any applicable warranty coverage.

This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage that may apply to products purchased through https://www.tonewheelgeneral.com. It should be read together with our Terms of Sale, Return Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use.

2. Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage varies depending on the product purchased.

Products sold by Tonewheel General may include:

  • Manufacturer warranties;
  • Tonewheel General limited warranties, where expressly provided in writing;
  • Limited warranties on certain restored or rebuilt products;
  • Used or vintage products sold with a stated warranty; or
  • Products sold without a warranty beyond any rights provided under applicable law.

The applicable warranty for each product will generally be identified on the product page, your invoice, accompanying documentation, or other written materials provided at the time of purchase.

3. Manufacturer Warranties

Many products sold by Tonewheel General are covered by a manufacturer's limited warranty.

When applicable, the manufacturer's published warranty period in effect on the date of your purchase governs the duration and scope of that warranty. Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and product type and may differ between product lines.

Manufacturer warranties generally begin on the original retail purchase date unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise.

The manufacturer's warranty typically covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to the manufacturer's exclusions, limitations, and claim procedures.

Tonewheel General is not the warrantor for manufacturer warranties and cannot modify, extend, or expand a manufacturer's warranty. However, we are happy to assist customers in identifying the applicable warranty, providing proof of purchase when needed, and helping facilitate warranty claims when appropriate.

4. Tonewheel General Limited Warranty

Where Tonewheel General expressly provides its own written limited warranty, that warranty applies only to the specific product identified and only under the terms provided with that product.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, any Tonewheel General limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal, intended use.

It does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect functionality;
  • Consumable or maintenance items;
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, or improper maintenance;
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs;
  • Damage caused by improper electrical connections or environmental conditions.

5. Vintage, Used, Restored, and Demonstration Equipment

Tonewheel General offers new, vintage, restored, refurbished, used, and demonstration equipment.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, vintage and used products are sold in the condition described in their product listings.

Any warranty applicable to these products will be clearly stated on the product page, invoice, or accompanying documentation.

Cosmetic wear, finish variations, age-related characteristics, and disclosed repairs are not considered warranty defects.

6. Electronic Components, Service Parts, and Consumables

Electronic components and replacement parts require proper installation and handling.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly covered by a written manufacturer warranty, warranty coverage does not apply to products that have been:

  • Installed;
  • Soldered;
  • Modified;
  • Altered;
  • Subjected to improper installation;
  • Damaged through misuse or incompatible equipment.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Circuit boards;
  • Capacitors;
  • Integrated circuits;
  • Switches;
  • Connectors;
  • Wiring harnesses;
  • Electronic assemblies; and
  • Other replacement electronic components.

Likewise, consumable or maintenance items—including vacuum tubes, belts, gaskets, rubber components, lubricants, and similar service parts—are generally not eligible for warranty coverage after installation or normal use unless a manufacturer's warranty expressly provides otherwise.

Customers should inspect these items promptly upon delivery and verify compatibility before installation.

7. Warranty Claims

If you believe a product is covered by a warranty, please contact Tonewheel General before returning the item.

Please include:

  • Your order number;
  • Product name;
  • Serial number (if applicable);
  • A description of the issue; and
  • Photographs or videos if requested.

We will review the information and advise whether the claim should be handled directly by Tonewheel General or the product manufacturer.

8. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is approved, the applicable warrantor may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product;
  • Replace the product;
  • Replace defective components;
  • Provide replacement parts;
  • Issue a refund where appropriate; or
  • Offer another remedy permitted under the applicable warranty.

The remedy available will depend upon the terms of the applicable warranty.
