This kit replaces all the capacitor and resistors on the late model metal frame vibrato line boxes found in Hammond B-3, C-3, A-100, D-100, and RT-3 models. Not applicable for the earlier silver or black wooden line boxes. To see a metal frame line box look at the item immediately below this one. Kit consists of twenty capacitors and three resistors.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All parts kits sold by Tonewheel General expect installation by a person with previous practice and skill in the art of soldering, component removal and installation. This person should also be familiar with safety practices and procedures that relate to high voltage tube amplifiers. These are not kits for first time projects.
We don't want you your equipment to wind up in our shop, so please work with patience and care. We cannot supply a step-by-step process guide or give telephone/email support for an installation, other than for problems with the kit itself (missing or failed parts, for example).
It is possible to install these parts incorrectly and turn your device (and you) into a smoking pile of used parts. If you would like your amp repaired but feel insecure about proceeding, or have a partially completed project, Tonewheel General accepts amplifier and preamplifier patients on an hourly basis for diagnosis, evaluation and, if needed, either completion or autopsy.
