This reproduction of the expression pedal return spring is custom manufactured using the same type and gauge of steel as the original Hammond part number 012-021865. The pedal return spring serves two purposes.
First, it prevents the expression pedal from dropping to the full swell position when the organist's foot is removed. Second, it provides resistance to downward motion, giving the organist a measure of feedback while moving the pedal up and down. Check to see if your organ has one in place, and if it does, see if it is the correct spring. For use with AO-10 and AO-28 preamplifiers only.
